After graduating from high school in 1986, military service and studies of medicine and dentistry in Kiel as a recipient of a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation.

1997 Received his medical doctorate in the field of trauma surgery

1998 to 2003 Residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the Clinic for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Kiel

2003 Senior physician at the Polyclinic for OMS in Kiel.

2004 Awarded the additional qualification "plastic operations".

2004 Joint practice at the Ballastkai and the Department for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of the Maltese St. Franziskus-Hospital in Flensburg.

2005 Associate and attending physician of the Ostsee Institute for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Flensburg

2009 Awarded the Certificate for "Aesthetic Facial Surgery" of the Academy of the German Association for OMS

• European Laser-Aesthetic Surgery (ELAS).
