From around the age of 30, the elasticity and tension of the skin slowly decreases. The body forms less collagen, flexible fibers that create a fine network in the skin which lend its youthful tension. In addition, the fat and moisture content are going down, making the skin more brittle and duller. Wrinkles are particularly noticeable where the skin is always in motion and also exposed to sunlight, environmental pollution and dry air - around the eyes, mouth and on the forehead.

With Botox, these wrinkles in the face can be treated. This provides a rejuvenating effect.

Botulinum toxin – commonly called „Botox“ –  is particularly used to treat those wrinkles in the face that are caused by facial expression. Thus, frowning wrinkles across the forehead or glabellar wrinkles above the nasal root can be smoothed. To a certain extent, crow's feet next to the eyes and laughter lines on the nasal bridge can also be treated.

Botulinum toxin A is the active ingredient of the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. This very poisonous substance from nature can now be produced in the most exact form and used precisely in millions of dilutions in medicine. Botulinum toxin penetrates into the nerve endings, paralyzes the muscle and weakens its contraction ability. 

Botox reduces itself completely over a period of about four months, the ability of the muscle to contract returns unrestricted. With regular appliance, the effect can be increased up to 12 months without permanently damaging the nerve endings.

The subcutaneous injection and filling of wrinkles can bring very good effects. Sharp skin wrinkles are not removed, but only slightly softer. Above all, deep wrinkles between nasal wings and corners of the mouth, wrinkles around the corners of the mouth, from the corners of the mouth to the edge of the lower jaw, as well as on the cheeks and on the chin can be treated well.

We use different well-tolerated and completely degradable fillers:

• Hyaluronic acid, which naturally occurs in the skin in large quantities and is therefore not foreign to the body. The treatment takes about four to six months, with some products even six to eight months.
• Collagen, but an allergy test should be carried out before application. This substance is completely degraded within four to six months.
• Poly-L-lactic acid, which leads to an increase of the amount of collagen fibers, whereby the actual growth in volume is achieved after about three. The treatment with lactic acid is carried out in several steps. It is not suitable for the subcutaneous injection of skin wrinkles. The effect lasts about three years.

Side effects are very rare in these techniques and are usually restricted to small hematomas at the injection sites.
